“Neighbors is a series of delicate, small scale watercolors portraits. Mostly of random strangers I stumble upon, but occasionally of people I know well: family, friends, my therapist... I seek not to reproduce what I see, but rather to capture its essence, often in a fleeting posture or movement. These little paintings became an everyday habit. Through them I attain a deeper understanding of others and myself, which allow me to have a better relationship with the world around me. “
